The following criteria must be met to qualify for application of the award:
- Must be a Nutley High School senior enrolled in college
- Must be pursuing an education working with children
- Required to submit an essay including career goals and inspiration for career choice
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Required to submit two letters of recommendation (teacher, guidance counselor, coach, etc.)
